A typical yoga class begins with a time to focus and centre oneself through breath and directed awareness; then some gentle movements will prepare the body for the postures that will follow.

The postures may be done individually or as a flow of movements. Awareness and use of the breath during the postures supports concentration and assists a greater understanding of the underlying energy in ones body and all around us. The postures become a means to a dynamic, releasing meditation.

A deep relaxation ends the session; the mind is brought to a place of silence, where it remains completely aware of its surroundings while the body is entirely without tension.
This last practice leads us naturally into a meditation or rather a resting in the silence that has no centre, a pool of peace, ever tranquil and restorative.
Each session is given intuitively for the highest good of the group. It is also influenced by the seasons, the time and
the place.
